The Universidad del Valle de México (UVM) announced the launch of the first edition of the UVM Giveaway, an initiative that seeks to increase resources for academic scholarships that will benefit low-income youth and, at the same time, provide dozens of winners the opportunity to live the experience of an international trip.

Luis Durán, President and CEO of this institution, stated that the UVM Draw arose as part of the University’s commitment to offer quality higher education in an inclusive manner and in conditions of accessibility, which contributes to increasing coverage in middle education superior and superior, and to favor the social mobility of thousands of young people.

Dr. Carlos Barber, director of the UVM Foundation, explained that the raffle embraces a social cause, since the participants will have the opportunity to earn an international experience and at the same time contribute to other talented young people with financial difficulties obtaining an academic scholarship.

The prizes are 150 trips for one person to Madrid, Spain. Each award includes round trip plane ticket, airport-hotel-airport transfers, 13-day and 12-night stays, admission to the Prado Museum, Reina Sofía Contemporary Art Museum and Thyssen Bornemisza Museum, in Madrid, Spain, in addition to VAT and taxes. hoteliers and airlines, as well as the federal and state tax corresponding to obtaining the award.

On the other hand, 15 more trips to Madrid, Spain, with the same characteristics mentioned above, will be delivered to those collaborators who sell the first 15 winning tickets. In all cases, the cost of each trip is 123,226 pesos.

Dr. Barber explained that the sale of the tickets will begin this October 18 and the draw will be held on March 21, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the UVM Campus Sur Auditorium, Coyoacán headquarters, located at Av. Calzada de Tlalpan 3058, CP 04910, Col. Ex Hacienda Coapa, Coyoacán, Mexico City.

Regarding the mechanics of the draw, he explained that 40 urns will be used as concentrating instruments for the heels, which will be distributed in the Campus and Corporate Offices of the Universidad del Valle de México.

The Sweepstakes has the Interior permit number 20180417PS08 so it will be inspected by a Governor’s Auditor. Once the draw has been carried out, the results will be published in the Milenio digital newspaper on March 23 and 24, 2019 and on the UVM Draw website http://www.universidaduvm.mx/sorteo-uvm .
