There were 50 boxes where irregularities were located, so it is expected that around 12,000 votes could reverse the election in the capital of Queretaro; said Carlos Peñafiel Soto, president of the National Regeneration Movement party (Morena), accompanied by Ángel Balderas Puga, president of the party’s State Council.
Both indicated that they will demand from the IEEQ the count of the 50 squares, because they have votes that have not been counted to the candidate for the municipal presidency of Querétaro of the coalition Juntos Haremos Historia, Adolfo Ríos.
With this, they considered, the direction of the election in the capital could be changed; therefore, it would no longer seek to file a request with the IEEQ for a full recount.
