Miguel Ángel Álvarez Ramos, director of Sport for the municipality of Querétaro, Juan José Franco Salgado, director of Sport for the municipality of Corregidora and the head of the State Attorney for Environmental Protection and Urban Development (PEPMADU), Alejandro Delgado Oscoy, invite the families of Querétaro to participate in the 1st Trail race “Yo Eco”, which will be on July 29 at 7:00 am in El Batán, Corregidora.
The Trail “Yo Eco” seeks to link sport with caring for the environment. Miguel Ángel Álvarez reported that El Batán is a perfect location for this race, since it has a semi-warm climate and a temperature between 18 and 22 ° C favorable for runners.
For his part, Franco Salgado added that there is a commitment to promote the practice of sport. “The municipality of Corregidora is honored to host this great event, Corregidora is above the average in population growth, it is becoming a modern city with all services, but we also have our deeply rooted traditions; in addition to very beautiful areas such as El Batán ”.
Alejandro Delgado Oscoy thanked the assistance of the media, and explained that the essence of PEPMADU, apart from caring for and balancing the environment with urban development, is to combat climate change. Delgado Oscoy explained that the Yo Eco race is an event where the intention is to bring the whole family together.
Apart from the 2.2km, 6km and 9km categories, there will be a 6km bike ride; also interactive stands by CEA, SEDEA, the municipalities of Corregidora and Querétaro and SEDESU, where you can learn about how to care for the environment among other agencies and some sponsors of the race.
The head of PEPMADU stated that a reforestation of 300 trees will be carried out in El Batán, where runners and their families can participate.
